These are lap marks. When Sealcoat is applied, we have to overlap during the process to insure that the Asphalt is completely Sealed. We try to make sure the application is done as uniformly as possible, so that when the lap marks do become visible, they look uniform. After a few years the lap marks may become visible, this is perfectly normal. With each successive Sealcoat, the Asphalt will retain more and more Sealer and the lap marks will become less and less visible, please trust the process.
